NAMM started today- Anaheim Convention Center not too far off from Disney Land but with a completely different crowd.
 With so many companies displaying you can easily miss something interesting. I walked past the Diezel both at least 5 times and never noticed it. You can't miss Orange or Marshall, yet could easily get lost on the way too Peavey and Fender. Loads of new products. If you would like photos or information please ask and I will see what I can do. Orange: On top of spending easily a few grand on swag bags(which I have one now  ) they have a huge display and lots of artists playing. Krank: No new amps- however they will now Tolex the amp in a wide variety at your request. Very friendly staff.   EMG:  Rivera:  Ibanez: pretty damn fine selection with clearly marked prices.

JJ had a both. These are for you Cathbard.
   New Vypyr. Much better in person. I don't think there is a tube version, at least not yet.  Ported back of Vypyr.  Yes its as ugly in person as it is on-line:  Not as bad:  They didn't have any to play through today. Maybe tomorrow. I want to compare it

ESP really wins on the display. Holy crap. I can't take enough pictures to even get near doing it justice.
   No new amps from Jet City. They do have a new load box. Rated up for 100w amps. DI output as well. They were really proud of it. Friendly staff.  ENGL:  Egnater:  Bogner:

Randall was very busy. I don't have any details yet.
 Killswitch cables. Momentary off. Can be pressed in rapid succession for a cool little effect.  Joyo: Friendly staff. Amp doesn't sound half bad at all, pedals sounded pretty decent as well.   Marshall:

Now the Hybris- I have been drooling over the pictures from Craig for some time.  I love myself some high gain amps. I have a Mark V, Krankenstein and a 5150. Its brighter, tighter and clearer than a 5150, almost Mark series type tightness with a low end that works. Much quieter at idle than my Krank and 5150, esp the Krankenstein which is noisy, even by high gain standards. I played a few little riffs through it but I haven't hardly had time to play guitar all week so I will have to try it again later as not to embarrass myself too badly. Way more than enough gain on tap. It was barely on 1 and drowned out the booths next to him. They guys in the diamond booth probably hide everytime its flipped on. It can go from clean cleans to dirty cleans with a roll of the knob. Versatile. I dug it. Simple and yet flexible. V30's complimented it well. When I sell the Krankenstein plus the Hybris will replace it.    ASG Guitars: I have never played an ASG guitar before- feels of high quality- highly customizable including designing your own graphic. Felt very nice in my hands. Neck profile was too my liking. Nice fret work as well.

Diezel- very small booth that hardly has any walking room.
   And Peter Stapfer (not Diezel)- The VH4 was hiding.

I wanna hear how those Schecter Amps sound. I'm also interested in the Abasi sig Ibanez, just to see how ridiculous the pricing is.
