Honestly, I'd be glad if they made another movie without Lucas. The prequel trilogy were so terrible and soul-less that I don't believe that Abrams could do any worse. In fact, I reckon he could do a lot better and at least make something worthy of being called a Star Wars movie. It wouldn't take anything revolutionary, just a good adventure story and interesting, relatable characters.

I liked Lost. JJ Abrams is a decent director, I think whether the film is good enough all hinges on who writes it.

I'm not to sure how I feel about this. I thought he made a mess of Star Trek, but perhaps that was more the writing than his directing.

They should get Michael Giacchino to do the music though, as long as they don't try to modernise the score too much.
