Agile AL-3000 or Ibanez RG350DX EdgeZero Trem
Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a new guitar (or used, doesn't matter). There are two guitars which match my budget (+/- $500) that have kindda caught my eye, i.e. The Agile AL-3000 and Ibanez RG350DX with EdgeZero trem (I don't even need the trem on the RG350DX, although it would be a fun addition). I play everything, from Dire Straits to Led Zep. My amp is a 30 Watt Vypyr. Which one do you recommend? Thanks for your time. Last edited by wammybarnut : 01-27-2013 at 01:06 PM. |

Huge fan of the Agile 3xxx series. Once properly set up the thing is amazing.

Floyds are a pain in the ass if you don't need one.
i recommend something like these http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Stor...767-i2662980.gc http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Stor...069-i2949856.gc http://www.guitarcenter.com/G-L-Tri...834-i2671494.gc I haven't played any Agiles and I'm basing this off price range and versatility. In order to recommend some other better ideas, you'll need to provide more info, like body style color preference specific tones location in the world and anything else you can think of. |

I like the Agile 3k's also. I mean they got some beauties for less than $500. I did side by side comparisons and you could technically get a Gibson Standard/Studio type guitar, that is roughly not much different.
Even if your completely not sold on it being of same quality as these +1k guitars, there is no doubt in my mind, that their price/performance is seriously unbeatable. They even have Ibanez replica's in their Interceptor lines, some with EMG pickups, and they are also hard to beat, they even come in 7 string versions also. Its just up to whether you want to play it before you buy it. which isn't a big deal if your use to buying online. Some older players might not like this, and frown on it, but hey, there is still a return policy if you want to try before you fully buy. |

I mean look at the bottom picture of the guitar, that shows the body only, and tell me you could tell the difference between it and a Gibson Standard!
http://www.rondomusic.com/al-3110csbf.html Heres an Ibanez type guitar like the one you wanted. http://www.rondomusic.com/hawkerblackfloydemg.html |

Far too different to compare one another.
