Electronic music appreciation

So, I can't say I've seen a good electronic music appreciation thread, and I think it's time that was changed.

Now, I'm sure this thread will get a lot of stick from the Metalhead crowd (Who cares about Metalheads these days?), I'm sure we'll get the usual "Aphex Twin/Moby/Simon Posford doesn't play an instrument, he's not a real musician!" comments, which are very ignorant.

1) Bach, Mozart, Holst, Penderecki, none played their music, they simply composed it, one of the main things done by Jean Michel Jarre, Aphex Twin, Moby

2)Keyboards, CDJs

So, now, we're not bigots here (Not as far as I'm aware, anyway), so all is welcome.
Give me your Psytrance, bring me your Jungle, show me your Ambient, your New Age, your Forest, your Industrial, the progressive and perhaps even the hip-hop.

Here's a few of my favourite tracks:

Ambient - Carbon Based Lifeforms - Frog
show

Psybient - Shpongle - Star Shpongled Banner
show

Progressive Ambient.New Age(?) - Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene (Full)
show

Now, go, give me your electronic delicacies!

Because there certainly aren't several electronic threads over in the "Other" subforum of B&A.

I love it. I also think a lot of people forget that electronic music extends way beyond just dance music.

It's a shame that the 'Other' forum is fairly lifeless though. Nevertheless, before this gets closed:

I like electronic music more when there's kind of an acoustic organic sound mixed in.

Favorite electronic arists are:

Boards Of Canada
Bonobo
Plaid
Ochre
Autechre
Aphex Twin
Flying Lotus
Nujabes

Don't talk shit. Also Holst?

On topic, I like Daft Punk, Justice, Mr. Oizo, and The Bloody Beetroots.

You posted Tangerine Dream for god sake. And made the backhanded "just dance music" quip.

Okay, here's some

Bonobo, some sort of glitchy trip hop

Daedalus, kinda downtempo idm

She, bit Justice-ish with some 8bit stuff

Worm Is Green, triphop

Khoiba, a different, more chilled out sort of triphop

I think that's enough embedded stuff for one thread, but also:
Burial, Swarms and Phaeleh for chilled out dubstep
Alva Noto - idm
BT - you should know him but he does a bit of everything
Halou - more triphop
SONOIO, Late of the Pier, Art vs Science, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Robots in Disguise - electronic/rock crossover stuff
Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Fatali - psytrance

EDIT: ninja'd on a couple of those, but that's fine.

Tangerine Dream isn't ludicrously experimental. Go listen to Stockhausen or Alvin Lucier.

Bach was more renowned in his own time as a keyboard virtuoso than a composer. You picked a bad way to make your point.
