I like my Vox V847 Original Wah-Wah. Has a little bit more snarl and edge than the basic Cry Baby I demo'd. I also think it has a stronger voicing and a bit more of a range. Sounds awesome clean or dirty with low-moderate (mine) or high output pickups (store guitar) side by side comparison.
http://www.voxamps.com/pedals/wahwah_v847/ One annoyance: Hard to engage while playing sitting down.

On thing I forgot to mention as it is not a huge deal for me, no gain or volume control. Sounds great regardless on the high gain amp models I use.

fulltone clyde/clyde deluxe - edit : just checked, they are positively true bypass.
RMC 3 or any of their others. - edit 2: the RMC-3 is also positive true bypass. again just checked.

Check out the Cantrell wah, I don't think it's true bypass though (not sure why you need true bypass...) You could also check out the bad horsie, always liked the feel of those wahs
And FYI, it's highly doubtful your CAE wah came without the internal trimpots. It's more likely that you just couldn't find them, or the retailer sent you the wrong wah ![]() |

you could also build a loop type box. just four jacks a switch and an LED if you want to know whether if its on or off. you could stick anything in the loop, so it would be good for other things if you did something different. $15 in parts or so. step on it, wah is active, step on it again, it is bypassed. but the fulltone and RMC would be phenomenal. they put every dunlop wah to shame. __________ there is also another wah that is very adjustable and very small, size of a boss pedal i haven't ever tried one, but i have heard a few people mention it with positive regard. http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazi...Wah_Design.aspx

i looked at pics of the internals for the cae wah. i saw the 3 brown/cream colored pots i was supposed to have. i didnt have them. all i had was these 3 little white plastic things where there were supposed to be. and when i even tried adjusting them, nothing would happen.
