Guitar amp $300-$500

Budget : 300 to 550 dollars (TUBE ONLY!!! Unless it's a very good solid state)

Genres : I like Guthrie Govan, Eric Johnson, Malmsteen, Satch, SRV, Hendrix, good cleans, and Jason Becker (but I don't need heavy distortion or anything)

I want very good cleans and sweet-sounding light overdrive. Anything heavier than light overdrive isn't needed, as I can just get a pedal to replicate the heavy sounds.
I play with literally 1/5th of the overdrive I used to a year ago

Current gear : Mexican Tele with MG100HDFX half-stack (getting rid of that soon)

Volume : prefer that it sounds good at low to "high-bedroom" volumes, and I need it to sound good at gig-worthy volumes, but I don't need it as loud as the MG100HDFX. The same volume level as an Orange Tiny Terror Combo would be very nice.

I NEED it to sound good cranked up

New or Old? : Only amps sold in Guitar Center

Location : unimportant

abit more but its a tiny terror combo used and you get it through GC with a 30 day back guarentee to any GC, regardless of which one it is housed in. Tax may bring it up a bit

or this
http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Stor...708-i2929768.gc
but it doesnt indicate 1x10" or 1x12" Id ask
If you want a terror, of course

I would stay away from a Tiny Terror after what he said he needs.

yeah, don't get a terror, 15w tube or so for small gigs JUST cuts it.
look at the VOX AC30, no clue on prices as im australian and prices are ******ed.
could try a nice fender, the blues junior is only a 15w but for me it seemed louder than the terror.. that was the perks of working in a music store, trying everything out..
if you can get one in your price range (once again, no clue on prices) look for a fender deluxe III or a fender Bassman.

I adore my blues Junior for similar musical interests you mentioned. I recently got an AC15 that i'm really starting to like as well. It seems a little bit bigger and fuller....it is more of a pain in the ass to haul around though.

Careful guys. The MG may have far too much crushing overdrive for him!

People rave over the Excelcior but it honestly doesn't sound good to me. When the 15" speaker breaks up it sounds really weird. The Bugera V22 isn't a bad amp at all and it should be well within your budget. I'd say finding either a used Blues Jr. or DSL combo would also both be a good buys. And good luck finding a tiny terror combo for under $500.
