Head and cab help?
Hi guys,
I've got a speaker cab which can switch between 8 ohms and 16. I also have a head that can switch between 4,8 and 16. How do I match them? Is it just simply setting both to 8?

what speaker cab is it? one of those settings is probably the stereo setting, i.e. you'd only be running through one speaker. Assuming you want to use both speakers, you want the mono setting.
(it could be either way round depending on what cab it is, depending on whether the speakers are wired in series or parallel- probably will be parallel, but not necessarily.)

Thanks for the help guys. It was 8 ohms for stereo and 16 for mono, so I used mono.

lol sounds like it's wired in series then. that's what i get for saying "it's probably parallel"
but sounds like you have it sorted now
