Hi everyone!
I' ve just one question: Does an electric guitar with the following specs exist (without customshop mode)? -Mahogany body -24 frets -Maple fingerboard -Any tremolo bridge (not a FLOYD ROSE) -Emg 81, Emg 60 -Hardware chromed I mean, in my opinion this is just the perfect guitar for me if it has the maple fingerboard: http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/MBM2 Thanks! ![]() |

hey man, check over at rondomusic. com . I'm pretty sure they have some with those specs (even the EMGs). If not, Im sure you could find a guitar with the rest of the specs, and just dump some EMGs into it.
(this one is close, but doesnt have the EMGs http://www.rondomusic.com/al2000blackmn.html )

Really the only things this guitar has that matches what you want is a mahogany body, 24 frets, and the EMGs. This model never came with a maple fingerboard, according to the site you linked they only came with rosewood. Along with that the Gibraltar Standard bridge that comes on these is fixed, not a trem. It also only came with black hardware. If you're willing to give up the maple frets, chrome hardware, and tremolo prerequisites I'd say it looks like a pretty solid unit.

I don't think I've ever seen a decent-quality guitar with active EMG pickups and a vibrato which isn't a Floyd Rose. Gibson have stuck Kahlers in their guitars before, but not with maple fretboards. Typically, guitars that come with active pickups are either going to have a fixed bridge or a Floyd Rose; you don't get people making guitars with Strat-style vibratos or Bigsbys or whatever else, with active pickups.
What I'd suggest you do is you find a guitar that has most of the spec you like and modify it to make up the rest. Putting active pickups into a guitar is easy enough, so long as you make sure there's room for the PCB board and battery. Black or gold hardware can be swapped for chrome or nickel versions, though most guitars have chrome/nickel anyway. The things you can't change are the woods, the number of frets and the type of bridge. So what you need is to narrow your search down only to a mahogany body, maple fretboard, 24 frets and a Strat vibrato (or whatever vibrato it is you like which isn't a double locking design). I will say that off the top of my head, even just looking for those specs, I can't think of anything suitable. There's a couple of the very cheapest Jacksons and ESP LTDs, but those really are a waste of firewood and not worth touching. Fender are of course the common go-to for maple fretboards and non-locking vibratos, but they only ones with mahogany bodies that I can think of are the Jim Root models, which don't have vibratos. To be honest, your best bet is going to be hitting up Warmoth for a body and Musikraft for a neck and piecing something together for yourself.

Was the MBM1 a non-trem guitar?

Look into the PRS SE Paul Allender. I don't like Cradle of Filth, but it is a nice guitar, and it matches all of your specs, if I remember correctly, except for it doesn't have a maple board.

Order a Carvin. You'd have to put the EMGs in, but that's simple enough.
