I speed when I know I can get away with it and the conditions are right. Every time I put on Highway Star by Deep Purple I feel the need... for speed.

Some of the speed limits are ridiculous, why go 20 mph in a place you could safely go at 30 or 35? On the highway I go max 10 mph over the limit if there is no one around, if there are other cars I usually go at the limit.

Generally, I go about five to ten over. On the freeway, it's fifteen over. Sometimes just ten.
I like driving faster. It's fun. I've never been pulled over for speeding, and I've never gotten a ticket regardless of the infraction.

I go 5 over in town and at least 5 over on the highways depending on how cop prone the area is. My commute to school is littered with cops who just sit and look for people who speed (literally everyday) so I go 70 at the most to school. Big cities are fun to drive in cuz everybody goes like 90 and it's awesome.
Going the speed limit is for losers. |

I typically go 10 over the limit. What's stupid is there's people who still hug my tail-end and then pass me at dangerous times.
Although, I get more annoyed by people who go 5-10 under the limit than people who go over. Edit: Quote:

If all traffic is going more than 15 mph over the limit, you'll get killed if you don't follow along. If you're alone, don't risk it and go too fast. Also, I think you're exaggerating when you say 90% or you don't know what 90% means or the cops in your town are dumb as hell.

In that case, are they really going more than 15 over the limit or are you just going "whoa, that guy was fast! Musta been 20 mph faster than I'm going!". Because you're saying that more people than not should be arrested for reckless driving every time they drive and even the corruptest of law enforcement shouldn't really go for that.

Speedometers can be as much as 10% over your real speed, so it could be that you're just going slower than you think.

It depends on where I'm at. If I'm in my town, I know what I can get a way with and where I can get away with it. If I'm somewhere that I know the cops like to radar, I go the speed limit. If I'm in an unfamiliar town or city, I go the speed limit. On the highway, I usually go between 5 and 10 mph over the speed limit, but sometimes more.

I used to speed from time to time, but now I generally stay within the limit and 5 above, unless I'm in a couple specific places around here that have cops that can pull you over for doing 2 over.
