If you're thinking Orange, I'd suggest go for the TH30. This is my corporate fanboy side coming out but oh well, as it has more gain than the Rocker 30, as previously suggested, and is stupidly versatile. Also, you can get the head for £630.
Otherwise, have a look on eBay, you get ass-kicking deals there for used stuff.

Well im looking at an all tube b-52 someone i know is selling 100 watt all tube head tri-rec.
Also looking at the laney lv300 hybrid modellr. The interesting thing with th lv300 is that it has a tube in the re amp where my valvetronix has the tube in the power would be nice to see the difference. Hell it would be nice to get a direct comparision between those two and an all tube amp ![]() |

B-52 has the build quality of Bugera, I have seen more broke down than working, so take that into you consideration. I would never buy a used Bugera just like I would never buy a used B-52. Only new so it will get replaced/fixed if and when it breaks down. The Laney LV is crap. It is way worse than your VT, don't get that

So basically b-52=bugera or just about, Im really digging hybrid modeller after getting y valvetronix but so very few make a head version. I am looking for good tone also something thats practical and easy to move. As always thanks for your input it is much appreciated. I will defo chuck up a review of whatevr i end up with just to try and give something back to the community.

No offense meant, but if you prefer hybrid modellers to tube amps, maybe your ear has not developed yet.
Get a tube amp, your ears will thank you in the long run

If you want a modeler that is good and in head form, look at the Line 6 Flextone II head. it is a hidden gem . It is normally $250ish used (here in the USA) and it is basically a striped down version of the Vetta head. It has fewer amp models and FX, but still enough to cover just about any style you will ever want. The Peavey Vypyr tube 120 head is also pretty nice

Its not that i prefer themn i just really like the way you can dial in alot of different tones aswell. I dunno its hard to explain I guess they just have some advantages though i know their tone isnt as good as tubes you can still get a good tone from them.
At one point i was sold on the vypyr tube 120 but its acutually quite hard to find in the uk atm. Though im sure gigear has some so i might have to dish out. Last edited by Moon1n1te : 02-04-2013 at 01:00 PM. |

I don't believe he is getting that tone from only his guitar and the amp's distortion. I have played the V55 and there is no way I'd buy it for anything over classic hard rock I'm telling you the Laney AOR would be really good for you and they are pretty cheap second hand. They run $300ish used here in the USA ![]()

Can never find the same second hand deals over as in the US :/. Seriously leaning towards a bugera and from what your saying im guessing you'd suggest the 626(2/0) over any of the other. Was thinking that and then maybe getting a nice randall head as a backl up in 6 months or something :L. Only thing putting me off is the realiability issue's :/. will be checking out some of the competition later today.

http://forum.musicradar.com/showthr...-FT-Peavey-3120 <- £450
http://forum.musicradar.com/showthr...reamer-50-Combo <- £500 http://forum.musicradar.com/showthr...al-terror-FT-FS They can all be posted to you pretty easily for about £15. You might be able to talk down the guy with the 3120 as well. But that was from 2 min of looking on one forum.

There is a Jet City JCA50h on Ebay that is in Blackburn,UK 250 GBP with free pickup or contact for shipping. This would be much better than a Bugera
