Don't they do market research and have focus groups on their products sometimes?

Should I wear it lower than my knees? It sounds too middy, Metallica say mids are bad.

I like it, I just think they should have called it a 335 Junior, rather than 335 Studio.

I think they should have gone with ES1000 or something.

This is ridonkidonk. The basic shape is pretty much the only thing relating to an actual 335. Gibson, please don't ruin the last guitar I'd actually buy with your name on.

I can deal without the F-holes, honestly. Like Lizzy said before, however, it could definitely benefit from a P90 in the neck.

How does releasing this 'ruin' a guitar style?

When I heard about them releasing a 335 studio I was quite excited. Then I saw this horrible excuse for an instrument. Horrible, hideous, not interested. Ill just buy an Epi Casino thank you.

No p90 in neck, no interest.

The pathetic thing is I was actually hoping Gibson would release a lower-cost version of the 335, but this isn't what I was looking for at all.

I guess I have very bad taste in guitars, cause I like it.

I would play some doom on that thing.

The ES-339 Studio is 1080 Euro
the ES-335 Studio is 1250 Euro at thomann.de

so by the 'usual' exchange-rate they are 1200 and 1400 USD

My Midtown Custom was 1080 Euro

I hope this turns into another "Gibson sucks" discussion.
