Do you ever preorder albums?

All in the title. I'm curious if anyone else does this. Maybe with those bundles? Think it's a waste? Discuss.

Edit: Probably should have included what I've preordered.

-Three Days Grace - Life Starts Now: It came with part of the guitar used to record the album, customized drum sticks, guitar picks, a shirt, a signed paper, and the album.

-Rise Against - Endgame: It came with the vinyl, three small posters, buttons, and a digital download of the album.

-Silverstein - Rescue: Just a signed album with a shirt.

-Silverstein - This Is How The Wind Shifts: A cool signed poster, a shirt, and the album.

I pre-ordered the last Animals as Leaders and Meshuggah albums, and for AAL I got a t-shirt, and for the Meshuggah album I got a rubix cube with the album art on it.

Or at least I would have, if the stupid post hadn't been given the wrong address and got my pre-order for Meshuggah lost

I did get the spiffy AAL t-shirt, though.

I don't think I've ever preordered an album before, but I would if I saw one with a cool bundle.

Only if it's a limited edition vinyl I can sell a few years later to make some money.

I preordered the latest Sylosis and BTBAM albums because they both came with cool shirts.

I'm a bit wary of pre-ordering when you don't know the quality of what you've paid for.

It's really not different from buying a movie ticket

Only if it's a limited physical release. Otherwise I don't see the point.

If I want something as soon as it is released, I'll pre-order it on iTunes.

True, but at least you can send back a disgusting meal in a restaurant. You can't walk out of a movie a half hour in and demand to get your money back.

Unfortunately, really.

Only if it comes with some sort of incentive, and only for a select few bands I really like. For instance, I preordered Coheed and Cambria's newest album because it got you both albums/two discs of demos,a hardcover book, and an autographed VIP pass that gets you in to their shows early for an exclusive performance.

For just a regular album, I don't think I would.
