It's not the consumer's job to tell producers what they want, it's the producer's job to tell consumers what they want, even if they didn't even know it. People will warm up to these new consoles really quick.
And IMO, it is time. PC graphics are like 3x-4x better than 360/ps3 at this point. People aren't that excited to get 2006 graphics games anymore. |

I think it's more of people using it to the full advantage. Just look at most consoles and compare the graphics of games around launch and games around the end of their life. You'll see a difference.

Even though PC gaming is more expensive to get off the ground, you save a ton of money thanks to Steam/Amazon/Gamersgate sales. Most of the games I buy for PC are around 75% off, for instance I got NBA 2k13 for $10 the other day while Target has the PS3 version on sale for $55. Those savings definitely add up.

With the xbox, if you hump the air 20 feet away from it, the slight gust will cause it to fall over, etch crazy egyptian symbols in your disc, and set your room on fire in one fluid motion.
