I prefer Strymon's delays. But the Empress is very nice.

This thread is kinda pointless though...

As for analog vs digital - neither is better or worse, they are just different.
However, it costs a fair bit [ie this price range] to get digital pedals that can actually sound accurately analog.

The point is that if someone knew a pedal that sounded better I'd like to hear. It's all personal preference, but yes it is pointless

Ok, ok..let me rephrase it. "I have a dl4 right now and am looking to get the empress." Are there any other delays that are worth looking at?

But those are like, completely different. Very different. I could post here a list of 20+ "different" and "comparable" pedals, but that's pointless.

Like I said TS, budget and what type of delay sounds you want or I'm out.

Actually addressing the initial post. The SuperDelay is a digital delay IIRC.

Other delays to look at include:
Diamond Memory Lane 2 (analog)
Diamond Memory Lane jr (digital)
Diamond Quantum Leap (digital)

Actually, before you go off slagging other posters... your initial thread did suck, I wasn't sure whether you wanted:
1. Us to talk you out of the pedal
2. Pet you on the back and say "congrats"
3. Say "so.....?"

Don't get upset at others when your initial question was vague. Its not about posting requirements, but making a lucid statement and question. If you can't communicate what you needed, don't blame others for asking you what was the intention of this thread.

Ok, I won't go off "slagging" other posters. You wrote this after I revised my question, so you knew what I wanted. A simple, "can you be more specific" could have made this thread useful, though maybe now it's useful in teaching you guys some social etiquette. There's a difference between blaming someone and responding to someone who said you suck. Anyway, I don't really feel like arguing with people on a guitar forum.
