I recently posted a thread on phrasing and a lot recommended figuring vocal lines. I used to do that but have always wondered if I am doing it right.
For example the song "Call Me A Dog" by Temple Of The Dog.
The first line is "You Call Me A Dog" which I play like this

(The second release is slow and the last vibrato is quicker & wider)


The goal of doing this is making the guitar imitate the vocals as close as possible right? Do I have the idea clear by the given example?
