I meant that I would be contacting a private builder or something like ESP and having them build me EXACTLY what I want.

I mean, personally, I won't ever buy a Signature guitar, but that's me.

However, $3600 for a guitar better mean that I'm getting the absolute perfect axe for me, and there better not be a freaking molecule out of place.

Oh, and be careful with those SS frets. They won't wear out normally, but I've gotten a couple dings in mine from dropping the guitar, and you can't just take steel wool to it like nickel frets. Still need to take my Classic T to a luthier to get them repaired.

For a guitar like this from any luthier I'd be looking at £3000 and about a year until I get the thing. Personally I don't like that and this guitar does absolutely everything I want it to, and as Tom said it is literally flawless just like my Tom Anderson. Plus I don't like not playing a guitar before putting down any money, for all I know the guitar I get could just suck even to my specs. This isn't your typical signature guitar. It doesn't have his name across the entire thing, if you hadn't been told it was the Andy Wood sig you would have thought it was just a custom ordered Suhr Modern.

Each to their own I suppose, but tbh £2500 isn't that much compared to the price of some standard PRS guitars these days (looking at £3000+ over here) and this is every bit better than any PRS I've played including a couple of £8000 Private Stocks.

The moment I saw it out of the case I was sold, but when I played it it just cemented my decision. It plays 4 times better than it looks

man, who gives a **** what it cost, it's an amazing instrument. I really dig the mahogany neck. I've never seen that before. Does it make it...darker?

compared to a normal superstrat I think so yes, but its not like super dark. It just rounds it out a bit, makes it a bit beefier

I think it's a gorgeous guitar, and if he likes it, it's what he wants, and he's happy, my opinion on it doesn't matter for anything

I was just saying that personally, I wouldn't spend that on a stock guitar, but I like things personalized.

Really, it's a gorgeous guitar, but I personally have two guitars, neither of which cost me more than $600, so that's a ton of money to me

I just wasn't expecting that number, I guess

So, again, sorry if I came off like an ass, because I didn't mean it that way at all. It's an awesome looking guitar, and I'm honeslty jealous. The quality looks absolutely astonishing, and it EASILY rocks any of my guitars.

Really? I guess the double screw pickups might balance it out a bit with the bass/low mids cut. My all mahogany Modern 7 was the darkest guitar I've ever owned. Even with super bright Painkillers and a floating Floyd, I couldn't ever balance the treble out.

yeah mine is pretty well balanced overall, its darker than my Alder/maple neck Tom Anderson for sure. But it handles a Dual Recto with the gain maxed out VERY well, clarity all the way
