I wash my face atleast 5 times a day, probably more. I think if anything it would be greasy because of that.

Unless you have absurdly greasy skin, this is probably just making your face more irritated. 5 times is overkill.

use fewer blades.
first of all, some people are just prone to this skin-wise. especially black guys due to the wiry, curly nature of their hair. but these razors with three and four blades can do a little too good of a job. instead of cutting the hair, the extra blades serve to pull the hair out a bit to cut it. so instead of the hair being cut at the skin, it's cut below. when it grows back, it increases the likelihood of in-grown hairs. |

It's not that hard.
Don't shave against the grain, use shaving soap, get a straight razor. Works for me.

Yes. Also get a new razor. Edit: You can always do another round of shaving with the grain, or sideways.

change your blade often, dont be cheap. rinse blade and face with cold water, not hot or warm. grow out your facial hair and only trim it or let it grow out completely in those certain high risk areas. i am growing out my chin hairs. gf loves it so theres a plus.

shaving with the grain may help sensitive skin but if you have no problems then shave against the grain because its more smooth for the ladies. |

People post jokes in these threads, and you're always the first to home in and take them seriously. Stop it, it's really cringe-worthy. Definitely use a razor if you currently use an electric shaver. I'd think that your problems are just because you seem to be new at shaving and have sensitive skin. Take the time to properly prepare beforehand, and clean up afterwards with aftershave. I like the above idea of a high-alcoholic aftershave; the burning means its working! ![]()

It doesn't usually cause problems, but it can be more problematic for sensitive skin I think, and it also increases the likeliness for in-grown hairs I believe.

You are not TS. If you have problems with razor burn and associated pimples, and you shave against the grain, that is most likely the problem. If you have no problem with shaving against the grain, good for you.

It opens the pores where your hairs come from and it causes them to dry. Use lotion after you shave to keep the face from drying.
