Damn, this really reminds of good old 'tallica. Very nice. Sweet riffs too, decent mix as well. Doesn't seem like a full song though, not sure if that's what you were going for since the thread is called thrashy riffs, probably not though. If you did a full complete song that would be great. Other than that I think its all good dude, nice job.

I haven't really ever listened to much thrash but this is sweet! I agree with DG_Griffin about maybe putting the bass up a bit but it sounds really cool. Great work brotha!

I love this style of riffing. Ok, the sound quality wasn't great but I enjoyed hearing it. To be honest I also have a liking for riff collection pieces. They shouldn't be too long, and this wasn't at 3 minutes. It takes a couple of listens to hear the structure. I don't think verse / chorus / verse / chorus is all that great, myself - just an easy (or lazy) template that people are familiar with. Why not let a song dictate its own structure?
The riff that starts at 0:24 was my favourite, which I was glad to hear you developed later in the piece. |

Nice man, i love those old thrash bands, really reminds me of that era... The playin was very clean and you do have a nice groove going on...
Some very good riffs in there for sure, would love to hear them in a tune with vocals heres mine: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...86#post30990586
