Old Ampeg VT22, how much?
Other guitarist in my group is hoping to pick up a new amp soon. After playing a VT22 in the studio he said he would certainly consider it if one popped up.
Low and behold good ole Craigslist has one, but the guy is asking for $1000 or best offer, which tells me with that high of a price he must not be willing to go too much lower than that. Does that sound right, that doesn't strike me as a good price for those. I've seen old ampeg guitar amps go as high as 800. Is that too much? Thanks

Another UG'er from the Boston area uses a V4, the head version of the VT-22, in his band. He loves it. I have a V2, 60 watt version of the V4, in the shop getting fixed up. I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it.

They have 1 VT22 1x12 for $599 on guitarcenter used site, and several VT22 2x12's for $699

$1000 is absurd. Depending on condition I wouldn't spend much more than $450 on a VT-22.
They are slightly overpriced on guitar center in my opinion.
