Is this a decent starter bass?
Hi mates, does this seem like an okay starter bass. I normally play guitar but want to record some bass on a demo track.

I can't tell if its a four or five string from the one pic I saw. (I assume 4.) I don't know what that bass is like, but I tried a friend's SX bass from rondomusic. It had a passable tone, and brand new costs cheaper than that one. 'Course I'm not a huge bass player, but I liked it well enough. (Especially for it costing around $100.)

Judging by the way the company spells "Bass" I wouldn't trust it.

Yeah, rather than that, I would go with what yourfavlesbo said and get one from http://rondomusic.com such as this - http://www.rondomusic.com/ursa3mn3ts.html
I played one Lotus bass at a pawn shop and it felt like a toy. |

Or go used and grab a Squier that is higher quality than the SX stuff.
