Crazy speaker cabinet idea for both Bass and regular guitar
I've been trying to figure out a speaker cabinet that I can use with both a bass guitar amp and a regular guitar amp for a while. Last night I hit upon a weird idea, and I need to know whether this is doable or if I'm totally nuts.
the cabinet will contain two speakers: 1 large bass guitar speaker, 12-15 inches and 1 smallish guitar speaker, maybe 8-10 inches. In "guitar mode," the signal from the amp is sent through a crossover that feeds to both the speakers, keeping the bass speaker safe from high frequencies. In "bass mode," the guitar speaker is disengaged and the signal goes only to the bass speaker.

Celestion K100 speakers can be used for guitar or bass
EVM12L are good for guitar and bass using 2 of these would do exactly what you need, the K100 being the cheapest new. ![]()

Of course there are. There are bass amps that got popular as guitar amps. Fender Bassman is one.
