You shouldn't have to remove the spring. that would ruin the tuning etc... i have a guitar with the bigsby and it goes into my case fine. that case looks a bit to thin. :/

Just heard from them today- they said it IS the proper case, and the pressure on the Bigsby helps keep the guitar from sliding around. I guess the post will deform the cushion a bit over time...
They DO make several models with Bigsbys, all using this case, and I haven't seen any complaints. Hell- the case was a freebie, so I can always get another if I worry about it too much.

I had to look around a bit myself. When I finally tracked down this one, I had to go out of state to get it.
Tell you what, though: the next one I get- and YES, I will be getting another Reverend- I will be ordering it through my local guitar store. That's what I did getting my first 2 electrics- my Deans- and not only did they inspect it and set it up before I got it, it actually turned into a sales opportunity for them. Before my order, they sold Dean basses, but not guitars. Now, they sell more Deans than anyone else in the region. I think Reverend could be big for them, too.

Thanks, y'all! I'm still wondering how it is I didn't discover Reverends until maybe a couple years ago.

I can't see that finish and not be reminded of the fishing boat my dad had when I was a kid; it was like looking into a thousand miniature headlights all set to brights. Talk about stage presence! HNGD dude! I would love to hear what she sounds like.
On a side note, I remember seeing and hearing about a few Reverends about ten years ago or so, but nothing really since then. None of my local shops deal in them, and I'm not big on buying guitars that I can't play first, so... Last edited by 4FunandProphet : 02-14-2013 at 11:54 PM. |

I wasn't around too many boats as a kid, but I recall many like you describe. I remember metal flake mostly from the sports cars of the 70's. As for try before you buy, I understand that. But most of my axes were bought sight unseen, albeit through reputable channels with excellent return policies. That said, Revs were never high on my GAS list until very recently. I'd heard them on YouTube, etc., but it wasn't until they came up with a few models I really wanted to try- the Reeves Gabrels sigs, the Double Agent- that I started tracking them down, and found a local retailer who sold them. The Flatroc I bought was NOT the best one I played- again, see the Reeves Gabrels- but it was the rarest. And those RevTrons filled a tonal space in my collection i was seriously trying to fill. Besides, lets face it... ...that metal flake is reDONKculous!
