I'm new on here so dont know if anyone has heard of this guy? Im looking for an amp here in the UK that will get me a Pantera sound. Just found a website based in the UK where he's got some really heavy clips of a new amp. No pics as yet but his other amps are like Hiwatts. Its called Elektrik Black Amp. Dont know if Im allowed to put a website on here so just google Elektrik Amplifiers. No prices though?? Anyone know anything??

For new, the Dime D100 is basically a clone of the old Randal RG100 Dime played

Randall Century will work
Randall RG100
Randall War Head is Dimes amp from Randall, great if you can find one used in your area

yeh thanks Robb, only problem even if I could find one is the pedals for eq and stuff. These clips I think are just the amp and it sounds pretty close. And some really different distortion sounds to the normal stuff Ive heard. Might have to investigate further

Apparently the Randall RG1503 are pretty close to the older RG100ES he used to play, plus an extra channel with more gain.

well I suppose I can understand it looks that way but I dont know the guy, and I suppose 'every little helps' as the Tesco ads say over here, and if it gets him some interest via me then I might get a better deal!! Just a thought.....

How about this? Give us the following info, and we'll provide some better advice:

What's your budget?
Will you buy used?
Do you jam witha drummer/play live?
What's your current gear?
What genres do you play and what bands are you basing your tone off of?
Where are you located?

Clearly, nobody is familiar with those amps, but if you give us this info, we can give you a list of amps we ARE familiar with that will do what you want.

Thanks Godgrinder Im checking the Thomann stuff out... as for you other er helpers, suggesting an amp for 250 US in the states when I live in the UK isnt much use....thanks for your valuable assistance!!!

If you want to sound like Dimebag then pretty much either the Dime or the Randall RG since they are more or less the same deal as the Randall RG100ES he used to play, plus they are cheap/affordable. Haven't heard about the company you mentioned but those custom made tube amps can set you back some big-ish amount when all you need is pretty much a good solid state amp.

TS the $250 was to show you you can find the Dime amps pretty cheap in the USA so go look for one in your area and see what they cost there.
