Ok I take back everything I've ever said. I always thought it was ******ed and from watching playthroughs, it looked dull as hell. Just tried playing it for the first time and nearly poo'd myself.

Looks funner than just walking in the woods while a random manican with a suit fades in and out of time.
Seriously the first game was terrible, it had great ambient noise though. It looks like here there's more enemies, and they actually attack you, rather than stand in place making your screen get fuzzy if you stand too close. A machine for pigs is probably gonna destroy this game though.

My only problem with Amnesia is the monster design. There was no way it could live up to the images you created in your head, so when you see the actual creature, it looks really silly. I though it was one of the gooniest looking things I've ever seen in a horror game.

That was a pretty immense trailer. MIGHT check that out, though the first game bored the piss out of me. I mean, I was quite fearful the first playthrough, but when I realised I was scared of a poorly-rendered guy in a suit (more or less) it felt pretty stupid.
I still find the Condemned games scarier. Those mannequins, and of course Black Lake Lodge. I couldn't bear that. |
