Hi Marty, youve acidentially wandered into the music theory forum. Its pretty ruthless here, first impressions can be everything and youre not off to a great start.
Why not try the new members forum?

Hey welcome. Doesn't sound bad but it sounds like you're using too much pick when you alternate pick, which will slow you down. Try using just the tip. In most cases this is bad but when alternate picking fast runs, just the tip is optimal.

Hey Hail i mean Narcissist go grab a copy of Sarasate Carmen Fantasy and try play the 3rd movement bet you a million bucks you suck at it! harder than any Becker dude, I guarantee it i'll even pay to see, you play the wide interval sweep picking and unusual augmented arpeggios, I heard all your tracks and there soooo basic, basically what you would learn in the first 2 weeks of trying to learn Jason Becke

Paganini is easy! I learnt all 24 caprices and performed them when I was 11! Sarasate is more advanced! as well as Waxman and Jascha Hefietz, just stick to you minor and major arpeggios, that all I can hear you playing . Go grab the music for Sarasate, I bet you $50 u cant play it! harder than any Paganini caprice, or concerto, What's with guitarists and paganini??????? so not original in anyway!

Congratulations, you can link sheet music. Now play it on trombone and you can pretend to be Joe Alessi. EDIT: What happened to the Fbb tuba guy's thread? I can't find it anymore and I'm looking for a laugh. Did it get closed?

That's cool guys I heard your links/mp3s and if you keep practicing in a few years you wont hit all them dud notes on basic Jason Becker 3 - 6 string dm arpeggios. Jealousy comes in so many kinds seems this forum is full of em, keep practicing 20 years you'll play like me.

I don't give a **** about Jason Becker, you are the only one who has brought him up. Instead of talking about a piece like the carmen fantasy, which has been transcribed for a plethora of instruments, you do something unique. Try something hard. Play either Liszt's Paraphrase de concert sur Rigoletto, or Ravel's Scarbo. That would be something to brag about. Or even harder, play something slow. Play Vieuxtemps' Elegie Op. 30. But play it with dynamics, and feel. Notes are only one part of the music, and they are unimportant compared to the others. Transcend playing notes, and play music. From your posts, you seem much more interested in notes than actual music.
