I've seen experiments where two Capuchins are seperated by a cage but can pass things to each other via a small hole, one Capuchin is given a container with nuts in it and another Capuchin has a sharp stone to open the container with. In the experiment, the Capuchin with the opener passed the sharp stone to the other, who used it to open the container, removed the nuts, then shared them with the other by putting half the nuts through the hole, but everytime they did this exercise, the Capuchin that shared the nuts out invariably shared them out 'equally'.... almost every time.
