Hey guys!

Any tab contributors in the house? Good news for y'all then – from now on you won't be seeing any ads on UG! A small “thank you” for all the hard work you've been putting in all these years to make Ultimate Guitar the best guitar community in the world.

Here's how it works:

If you've ever submitted a tab, the site will automatically update without any ads being displayed. When the changes come in, all you have to do is hit refresh and it should work straight away.
If you haven't written a tab for the site yet, guess what - you can get the same ad-free offer too. Just submit a tab, and when it goes live, you'll get the same bonus.
Remember: your contributions make musicians' world better.

Do you get less money if we don't view the ads? Because I'm totally fine with keeping ads on if you get more money.

edit: Would I get the ads back if I deleted my old tabs?

Idk there was a few people talking about this in the comments on the news story and they came to the conclusion that it was alright
I really don't have any idea though

I'd take joshuas advice though, It's probably not a great idea

EDIT: I just checked again and it's gone so... I'd say it got taken down by an admin
