Good Keyboard Amp?
I'm wondering if anyone knows a good keyboard amp to perform with. I know this is not a piano forum, but I don't feel like joining one...and I'm sure someone must know something about this here.
I've heard all electric keyboard amps suck, and I haven't been able to find one. So, what does someone use when they perform! Thanks |

We use this in our practice space for vocals. It's cheap and decent - has a built in EQ and should get the job done.

I've been using a Yorkville KB200 for five years now, it's been fantastic as a keyboard, vocals and acoustic guitar amp. I remember being told to get a Roland, but they were more expensive, didn't sound as good and weren't made in Canada so I went with the Yorkville

My keyboards rack has a 1RU line mixer and a PA amp which I run into a pair of PA bins. When playing live that becomes my foldback and I take an output from the mixer into the desk for FoH.
It's actually a 1000W amp so when jamming I can drown out everybody. I also have a Yamaha 100W SS guitar amp which is quite a good clean amp but compared to the rig in my rack it's a POS. You don't need anything as big as I have, a 200W powered bin will do the deed fine. Forget about guitar amps, a small PA is the ticket.
