Pit, recommend me a place to work.
I've just graduated high school and have applied/looked for all the decent jobs I can think of that aren't awful. Perhaps you guys have some cool jobs that pay well or are decent with just a high school education.

We don't deploy nearly as many troops in Canada, and even when we do it's optional (obviously it wouldn't be if there was a huge war like WW3 or something). You can literally work 9-5 at a base here in Canada for your entire career. Benefits, great pay when you make corporal (2-3 years in CDN Military, just gets better after that).
