Looking for a guitar with an OFR

Looking for a new guitar that comes stock with an official floyd rose trem.

Here's the thing, I don't want it to have active pickups in it, and seemingly 99% of the guitars I come across that have an OFR also have EMG's installed.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

or just get the one you like with EMGs, sell the EMGs, and buy better pickups.

ESP Horizon FRII, it's a truly awesome guitar and you can get it with EITHER SD (passive) or EMG (active) pups.

The EBMM Axis uses an EBMM Licensed Trem and the Schecter Synyter Custom uses a FR1000 (which is NOT an OFR).

But yes, USA EVH Wolfgangs (and I think the Peavey Wolfgangs) come with OFRs

they're frt-x000s, though. granted he didn't make clear if he was ok with the frt-x000, but they're not schaller-made OFRs, either.

Late 80's Kramer Focus and American series. All came with original W. German OFR's and the Americans all had SD pickups. All MIJ and most can be had for less than 500 with OHSC.

I hear OFR and I assume German-made Floyds, or Schaller licensed, though not many come with that.

When you order a Carvin, you can add an OFR.

Thank you for the responses, fellow members.

I'll definitely look into the Jackson and ESP brands. I owned an ESP years ago, a cheap little V, but it rocked.

Carvin make great guitars, but their price is quite steep.

Again, thank you. And when I say OFR, I generally refer to the german manufactured ones. Basically, I want the best floyd rose they make.

Looked at the Jacksons, ridiculous price tags as always.

ESP, couldn't find any without EMG pickups.

I'm looking at the BC Rich Zoltan ASM model. I don't usually care for guitars that are musicians "custom" models, but it would meet all my needs. OFR, Rockfield Mafia pups, and I like the natural wood finish.

Anyone have any experience with these, or other higher end BC Rich guitars? I l

I'm pretty sure (positive) the Zoltan is a FR-X000 as well. To sum it up pretty much any mass produced guitar made nowadays $2,500usd and below have the Korean FR and not the German. The Korean is the new OEM OFR. They mostly advertise them as a Floyd Rose Original. As Tupac would say "That's just the way it is"

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guit...stom-usa-guitar

$2400 is ridiculous...? For a top of the line, hand built guitar????? And you can find the on Ebay and Guitar Center used ALL DAY for like $1600
http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Stor...866-i2912414.gc

And some people consider Ibanez Edge trems better than Floyds, so they might be worth considering. Maybe.
