Mary Had a Little Lamb
Love this song. Particularly the version from "Live at the El MoCambo"
I based this version on that one if anyone's curious. Comments are welcome Dirty comments are encouraged.

This is just awesome! You my friend have skills!!! I can't point out anything other than would love to hear a better recording of it! You are energetic and your playing is great. You seamed to be a weeee bit reserved in your vocals but maybe you were concentrating on playing? I can't even TALK when i am playing. Its like my voice shuts off if i pick up a guitar! lol
Keep it up man, looking forward to hearing more! Anyways, check out our cover of Hungry Eyes - http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...61#post31055061

I should really record from my Line out. But was having mixed results.
Recording "Live" has been much better results. Love the Ibby ARTIST you play. I have an older one from 1984.

your playing and singing isn't bad, but I think the guitar should of been a little cleaner. but that's just me anyway.

The level of Overdrive varies greatly depending on which recording you listen to. I agree this is a little more than the recording I based it off of, but not a lot.

too true, but it's all up to the player anyway. I just think it should be a sliht crunch. also, it's not a decent sound recording anyway, so the actual overdrive may not be as strong as shown in the clip..

That is a 2010 Squier Standard Stratocaster. Made in Indonesia It started off as the "Black and Chrome Special Edition" with a humbucker in the bridge. I like that setup enough, great for rocking out, but I wanted the "classic" strat sound. So I ordered a GFS loaded pickguard with the a set of single coils. I also leveled & dressed the fretboard when I got the guitar. They had shifted on the boat ride from Indonesia to Canada. I set the bridge flat on the body, added 3 extra trem springs and screwed the claw in to add increased tension to make the guitar into a Hardtail (not a fan of trem systems) Then a quick visit to Fender's website to find the setup procedure for strats, and I have a very nice playing instrument. Sounds nice too, either through modeled amps in my RP355, or Direct into my Peavey or Marshall One of my other guitars is a Stock Squier Jaguar. (Vintage modified series) I use that one for most stuff requiring a Humbucker sound. I thought highly enough of that guitar to post a review here on U.G. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/revi...guar/index.html

No-one comments after learning it's a Squier.
I've had this happen on 2-3 boards for various reasons. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!

I've been very happy with the Squier Custom Vibe 50's Strat I bought last year. I changed out the pickups a few months ago for a set of vintage noiseless to fix my single coli hum, but other than that I love it. On the next few songs I'm working on(a David Gilmour cover and a Robin Trower cover) I'll be using the Squier. Look forward to your next song DJ. |

Nothing wrong with Squires my friend. It sounds like you have it running like a well oiled machine. If you find a guitar that feels right and you get the sound you want, it doesn't matter what brand it is. Plus it looks killer with the black and chrome.
