Black Nickel Floyd Rose Replacement Parts
My Eclipse has a "black nickel" colored Floyd Rose/hardware and I was looking around for some replacement saddles for it, because my sweat has made little pockmarks in some and I can't find any at all. I've been to most spare parts websites and they only offer replacement parts in black, gold and chrome. Is black nickel some kind of special finish only released to major guitar companies (such as ESP in this case) for certain models?
I've found some on Ebay, but they look iffy... Cheers and Happy Valentines to you guys!

The thread has been up for a matter of hours. Don't bump it. Wait a couple days if you get no help, then bump.
Post pictures to the ones on eBay. Also, you may jsut have to buy normal black ones and suck it up.

Bump. Is it even allowed to bump one's own thread this much?

Thanks, looking through their stuff now... I can only find the standard gold black and chrome ones though. This is weird.

Black nickel is a BITCH to deal with. I actively try to avoid it when I can. No one makes anything in black nickel, companies are just now (like this year) starting to, with both Seymour Duncan and EMG doing black nickel pickup covers.
Schaller has black nickel strap locks now, but they're like $35, instead of $15-20 like any other color. As far as replacement parts go, you're probably SOL for now. Try contacting ESP directly, they should be able to get you a replacement.

Thanks, the both of you!
Offworld, I tried that and they just linked me to my local ESP distributor... Now, I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I will soon. Why would they use a finish with like no replacement parts though? It's weird.

That sucks. They don't have their own parts department? Ibanez is much better about that.
You can ask a distributor though, they might know what to do. Idk. Just for something new? Black/Chrome/Gold has been around for a very long time. FWIW ESP seems to have made a massive exodus back to black this year with their overhaul.

What do you mean a "little pocket"? In the finish or the metal? If it's just the finish, then I'm gonna suggest that you don't even bother because black nickel wears fast, sweat or no sweat. You might as well just buy a new, regular black Floyd instead of buying new saddles every few years. I don't know how long the finish lasts on a regular Floyd though, but it's definitely a lot longer than black nickel. |

In my experience, black and chrome/nickel don't wear, just chip. Gold and Black Nickel wear like a mother****er.
