Neck screws
So I'm fixing my guitar I haven't used for a while. I have two of the neck plate screws. The other two.... who knows. I checked them against my squire strat neck screws and they're the same length but different thickness.
So I need tips on hunting down screws. Will I have to raid through the screws at the DIY store or do you think I could track the right ones down on the net? It's a Hohner telecaster copy. Thanks |

There are specialized stores that sell screws only, check your area for one. In any case most screws are pretty easy to find because they're standard production parts, it's almost unheard of a company that makes their own screw sizes, because designing and producing a new part is much more expensive than just buying a bunch of someone who makes them already.
/rant But seriously, if you can't find it locally, just buy them online (measure the diameter, length, and head type and size first)

Cheers
Yeah I've just never shopped for specific screws before. Trying to work out how/what to measure and what the numbers mean. I think I got it now. |
