I saw someone die last night.

I was walking home from the gym last night, and near where I live someone on a motorbike had hit a man on a bicycle and crashed his motorbike. It was pretty horrific, there was blood on his head and everywhere, his arm was off at a odd angle. He looked dead when I saw him, and I later found out he did die.

It was quite horrible, i'm quite a sensitive person anyway, and it's not the first person i've seen dead on the floor so it brought back some horrible memories.

I'm not sure if the guy had a helmet, i'd guess not with all the blood, also I know you're not supposed to take helmets off people in case of head injuries.

How do you forget about the bad things that happen? Is it just time that helps it pass, or a good drink?

inb4 blog post.

Time usually does the trick for most bad experiences.

Time helps. I don't want to be that soft guy or anything, but it also helps if you can talk about it with someone. Maybe with someone who has had a similar experience, but someone who is just keen to listen and understand can be enough.

And don't see any Tarantino movies maybe.

I watched Demolition Man when I got home, and drank a couple of strong rums. They were to help me cope with watching Demolition Man.

Oh are you okay? Would you like to talk about it? Do you need a therapist.

Motorbikes are ****ing stupid, don't buy one.

However, everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

Sorry you had to see that pitbro. Never seen anyone die but I'd imagine it's a little hard to cope with.

Eesh. I want to ask why this isn't the first dead body you've seen, but I don't want you to drag it up if it's going to bum you out.

Jeez that sounds nasty. I guess it'll just take time, think about how you got over your other death experience and repeat it.

What about the man on the bicycle? You mentioned him once, and then ignored him.

I assumed he was the one that bought it?

OP said "crashed his motorbike," which I'm guessing was the death. Bicycle man gets hit by a motorbike, and then never appears in the story again.

Until I hear otherwise, I'm just going to assume that he rode casually off, the motorbike having bounced off him.

I ended up clipping a cyclist before on a roundabout. With no indication whatsoever he suddenly decided to change lane and flung himself across in front of me. Had to slam the brakes on and my foot caught his as I went past.

Obviously stupid cyclist, but you should always be expecting them to pull off some stupid shit like that. They're under no obligation to know the rules of the road so they're relying on common sense, which isn't always that common.

When I'm driving and I see a cyclist, I'm like "right, what's this dopey cunt going to do now?" so I'm ready for it.

First world problems. Somewhere in the world some people have to worry about getting their throats slit at any given moment, and you think you have a bad day because you saw someone die. Get a ****ing spine.
