Looking for an old 70's prog band
This band from the 70's had a concept album about a troll and they use very folky and classical instruments.
I really can't remember much about that band, but I don't think they released much material.

Nah, that's not them. Although, I have recently gotten heavily into GG.
The music was very traditional in that it didn't really have a drum kit and most of the instruments were acoustic. The band had a female singer (iirc).

Sounds a bit like Renaissance - Scheherazade and other stories. I'm not sure about the troll though.

Is it Comus?
First read, I thought you meant it had a troll on the cover, but it's worth a shot anyway
