Europeans: do you have rotary-combination locks?
These:
  I was in the gym this morning, and when i finished and went to shower, a guy was fumbling with his lock, not too uncommon, but when i got out of the shower 5 mins later, he still was, that was odd. So i told him, if you forgot your combination, the front office has a master key. He told me that "No, i just got this combo new, I've just never used or seen in person one of these locks before" So obviously i looked at him strange and asked you've never seen a combination lock before? "No, I'm on exchange from Europe, and we don't have these kind" So i proceeded to explain how to use the lock. I was pretty surprised, just always thought combo-locks were used worldwide

I'm in the US, but they can be opened with a piece of a beer can... I don't use them.

I had one a few years ago...drove me mad after a day so I bought a regular key lock instead.
 Yes, they exist in (at least Northern) Europe.

Weird, everywhere I go they use them. I used to have one in high school and now I have one at work.
