Oye! I made an airlock from a condom and poked a hole to it. Thing is, it doesnt really work like I thought it would. It doesnt let air out. Apparentyl the holes are too small. How could I make them bigger? ^.-

Reminds me of the fact that I have everthing I need to make mead, but never got to actually making it.
I would advise against using makeshift airlocks and the likes, since it's very easy to actually ruin it. Making wine and mead is something that requires good cleaning and a sterile environment before going through the steps. Can't you buy an airlock somewhere? And don't you usually use a waterlock anyway? Anyway, I am not an expert on this. I'm interested in seeing how your experiment is going. |
