What miracle scale is this?

The following notes: G A A# F# D

I think its a phrygian scale of sorts but i just dont get it. Please help

G A A# F# D?!

G A Bb D F# would be some kind of G harmonic minor (G A Bb C D Eb F#). I think it's that.

See what a difference the note names can make?

Could be an Gminor-maj7add9 arpeggio aswell, if you want to see it that way.

But yeah, probably some form of G harmonic minor or G melodic minor.

Have you heard this in a song? Im asking this because the answer could be anything without a harmonic context.

This is very true, but it would be very unusual to find both A and A# in the same scale, with no B note. That's why I would guess the A# should really be a Bb.

You're right, though, without context this is only a guess.

G-A-Bb-D-F# could be thought of as a GminMaj9 arpeggio ==> 1-9-b3-5-7
