Bugera amps
My local guitar shop is having a huge sale on Bugera amps, but I don't know which one to buy. These are the three models left:
Bugera V22 $225 Bugera V55 $275 Bugera 6260-212 $300 I am a bit worried though about the bad name Bugera has. For the same amount as the 6260 I can also buy the Laney Cub 12R, will that be a better amp? Or is one of the bugeras the better option? |

Only one of those I (if you are metalhead, rest are rock amps) would grab would be 6260, but only if you are willing to play lottery with warranties and hope you get a durable one.

I like playing blues solos, not really a metalhead.

V22 is the only Bugera amp I really like (that i've played). It also doesn't appear to be quite as plagued like the rest of the amps from them. Probably because it is not as complicated.
But yeah - you chose a poor user name ![]()

Then its either V22 or V55. No idea what amps they are clones of but they sound nice. Check youtube for samples.
Still, same warning applies. Bugera has next to no quality control and uses cheaper components than their original counterparts. *edit* And yeah, you should really reconsider your username... ![]()

Only if you buy one used (from there first few batches). This is one of those cases where the best idea is to buy new. A lot less likely to catch (about as much as any other tube amp). If you ARE gonna go Bugera, the v22 is a good amp (I certainly like it), especially for the price.

The V series is best for what you want, but fill out that sticky.
Also, just because you don't get a response immediately in the bugera thread is no reason to think they won't answer you. Give them a minute, they will help

By filling out the sticky I think you meant this one?
Budget - $300 Genres - Blues New or Used - Only new, I dislike used gear Home or Gig - Home Closest City - The internet enables me to buy from everywhere Current Gear - Vox VT15 and Squire Telecaster Looking for a tube amp with a foot switch. Last edited by Bugeraamps : 02-26-2013 at 02:06 PM. |

I know that some people just want new, and that's fine, but I will say that your options double (at least) by going used.
For new and blues, the Bugera is a good idea, maybe a Vox AC4, I will have to think on this
