Hi people
My ring ringer does not bend backwards in the slightest and I cant get this particular 9th chord to ring out

Assuming you mini barre the G,B and E string with your ring finger I cant get the D string to ring as I cant get enough of a bend with my ringer finger, any advice? Am I playing this chord correctly? Thank you

What a lot of people do is either leave off the lowest or highest note in a chord if you can't reach em comfortably. Should work well here.

Ahhh I see, it does sound ok with out the D bass note I suppose.
Is there really nothing I can do about my ring finger though? Am I just not physically blessed so to speak?

Practice it regularly but never force it, you'll get there in time; everything like that is hard when you first start doing it.

Try barring the last two strings with your pinky and then use you first, second and third finger on the 5th, 4th and 3rd strings respectively. If you want to barre the last three strings with your ring finger without muting, experiment with different wrist positions (in a more upward position) and/or use use more of the side of your finger - that's how I do it anyway. But I find that using all four fingers helps more especially when you play a min9 chord which is x53555.
