And this

Also, Guitar Hero to a pretty large extent inspired me to play the real thing. My logic was, if it's fun enough to play it virtually, then it will be more fun to play it literally. And as it turns out, I was right.

since these games came out well after I had learned guitar I found them really difficult to play at first while my drummer in the band I was in at the time had no problem whatsoever which pissed me off to no end. Also, that was like 2006 dude

The whole reason I ended up buying a guitar in the first place was because I played guitar hero and rock band until my guitar-controller broke, and I was like "Well I'm way better at this game than anyone should ever allow themselves to become, I might as well go buy a real guitar and then I can play something other than Through The Fire and The Flames."

They've officially stopped making Guitar Hero games. Rock Band however still releases weekly content and just released a new game last year.

Activision, once again, has over saturated their own series and killed it. Hopefully this will happen to Call of Duty soon, if it hasn't already.

I still have fun with Rock Band. And yes, I play real guitar. They're separate things, don't be stupid.

Actually having bought Green Day Rock Band, I think Green Day song are easier to play on a real guitar than they made them in that game, lol

Oh yeah, I played a lot of those Guitar Freaks or something like that on the PSone. Didn't care too much for that j-rock stuff, though...

Personally I think games like CoD have spawned numerous poseurs who think they're all that and a bag of chips even though they only kill virtually and are totally not navy seals. The same thing with GTA, kids should just throw that shit away and go out and actually do some real mass murdering.

And I'll bet you 90% who play Super Mario can't plumb for shit.

Sigh. It's a game. People who play guitar hero don't think they're rock stars, just like people who play Battlefield don't think they're soldiers. Get over your ****ing elitist self you asshole.
