PRS SE Singlecut pots?
Thinking of picking a PRS SE Singlecut up (Les Paul style). Would these need the extra-long pots like Les Pauls do?

Not all Les Pauls need long-shaft pots. It's pretty much 50/50 on whether a carved-top guitar wil need long- or short-shaft pots, and even some flat-top guitars are too thick to get a short-shaft through. You can't even really narrow it down by brand, because these things can vary from year to year and factory to factory; most PRS SE guitars use short-shaft or 'import' (metric) medium-shaft pots, but some SE 245s have had long-shaft pots. Really, the only way you'll know which your guitar needs is by opening it up and taking a look inside.
The only thing you can know for certain is that imperial/US pots won't fit, because of the shaft diameter.

He does, it just depends on what exact guitar you have.

Not just model to model, but year to year, too.
As I said, the only way you can be sure of which shaft length you need is to open up the guitar and take a look inside. The only thing you can be certain of without opening up the guitar is that imperial pots won't fit, only metric ones will.
