New backup guitar
Hi I'm new to this forum
I'm looking for a backup guitar. I play in an opeth-inspired progressive metalband. I currently use an Ibanez S 670fm and have replaced the stock pickups with dimarzios (tonezone and paf pro) I really like the sound and feel of the guitar, but as a backup I need something without floyd and with 24 frets. I have considered these two guitars: the jackson slattxmg3-6 and the Ibanez SIR70FD What would you chose? The last is very much like the one i currently own, so the cons are that it sounds much like my S. It would be nice to get something which sounded a bit different. Hope you guys can help ![]() I live in Denmark, so it is not just that easy to try one since our guitar shops have a very limited selection. Last edited by nikolajbak : 03-01-2013 at 07:19 AM. |
