Alright, here goes the thread to discuss Anime Cover album 2, it's been over 2 years since the last one.


RULES laid out by amaranth_todd in album 1, slightly altered.

1. Any song from any anime will be acceptable, from opening to closing themes and everything in between. Also, voice samples may be used.

2. Songs may be covered in any style/genre. The more variety, the better

3. 2 of the same song may be submitted, as long as they are in contrasting styles.

4. You may collaborate with other UGers. If so, the finished product MUST give credit to all that were involved.

5. When submitting songs, please give the title of the song, and which anime it is featured in.

6. Render/export/record your tracks in MP3 format @ 320kbs. If you submit it in a .wav, I'll convert it to 320 kbs if needed, but I'd prefer you do the conversion if your software/hardware can't convert to .mp3. Also if there's a noticable amount of head room, I'll likely highten the volume, so if it's to quiet, I'll fix it. I'm not using an album leveler, because those aren't great. I want it to sound as pro as possible, but I also don't want to turn anyone away, but if your tracks a bit lacking, I or someone else in the thread might be able to master/mix if for you. Also I'll fill in missing ID3 tags.

7. Mediafire is the preferable method of submitting your tracks, or sound cloud if you make the track downloadable. If you don't have an account on either site, or have an issue with it, you can pm me and I'll give you my email to send it too.

8. Feel free to call out a track and the genre you're going for to keep from breaking guideline 3

9. No avatar, no hihi puffy ami yumi, no american cartoons. They're animations, not anime. I'm sorry but start a cartoon theme cover album if you want. The definition of anime just to be totally clear:

10. Due date is August 30th midnight -6 GMT, and subject to change. That doesn't mean you should procrastinate and give me all the tracks at once. do them asap. You can always change your submission if you make something better.

11. If you submit more than 2, I'll pick the 2 I like most, so you're better off picking 'em out yourself if you submit more than 2. But if you've submitted 2, and make a 3rd one you realy want to replace with a previous submission, say 'I would like to use this new song instead of "blank" submitted one,' I can do that. If there are a shortage of submissions, or if they're of great quality, I might allow 3, might.

12. The last album was done long ago, so feel free to cover anything even if it's been covered in album one.

13. If you want to submit, it'd be a good idea to self-sticky this thread so you don't forget.

14. It does not have to be a straight up cover, it can be a remix, and be structured differently, but it must be recognizable.

15. Try your very best, if submissioni are good, and we have enough I'll pay out of my own pocket to commission an artist to draw a cover.

16. If you have an old piece, it's cool to submit, as long as it wasn't on the first UG anime album.

17. Songs must ideally be 90 seconds long, but exceptions can be made in some cases.

18. If you want to be credited under a name other than your UG username, let me know when you submit your song(s.)
