P passive pickup for aggressive sound?
So I decided to upgrade my Yamaha RBX-270 (P+J pickups) with new pickups. Especially the P pup. It lacks highs and sounds a bit muddy. J pup doesn't sound so good by itself, only paired with the second pup, but I think I'll change it later. I play mostly metal and want heavy, aggressive and definite sound which is good with a pick. So far I stopped on Seymour Duncan SPB-3. Will it do what I want?
