Nile Rodgers style playing.
Hi all. I've been trying to expand my playing styles and techniques and thought I'd have a go at a few Nile Rodgers tunes. One I really like but I'm finding difficult is Sister Sledge's 'Thinking of you'. This seems to require a constant up-down strumming rhythm throughout which I'm finding diffucult. I find my strumming hand reverting to playing at the same time as I'm sounding chords with my left. Any tips on how to disconnect my strumming hand from my constant brain? Maybe drummers would have some tips?

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Can you post a link to a tab or video and indicate what part of the song is giving you trouble?
