Rails in a Strat

Stupid question from a n00b, but can I put hotrails in a strat without much trouble? Like will mounting or wiring be a problem?

Mounting won't be a problem. Wiring problems depend on how good you are with wiring, but I don't foresee much of a problem as long as you read the diagram correctly.

No, they are designed to be a drop in replacement for Strat single coils.

Yeah, they just drop in pretty nicely.

I just put a DiMarzio FastTrack in my bridge, wiring was cake. Just keep in mind different manufacturers (and wiring diagrams) use different colors and you may have to make sure the wiring circuit corresponds if your leads are different colors.

It's pretty straight forward..

I put a set of the GFS lil killers in my MIJ Contemporary 22 strat a few weeks back.

I shielded the guitar at the same time, and it took me about 1.5 hr total. Most of that time was spent shielding tho.

For $50 shipped for the set, I have got to say the GFS's hold their own. My strat now actually sounds fatter and beefier then my lp that has alico II's These are some super hot PU'S!! Highly recommended.

Awesome! Thanks dudes. Yeah, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have a problem, but my buddy told me I would have a wiring issue. Guess he has no idea what he's talking about! Thanks again!
