Question In the style of Jeff Berlin?

Hey everyone. I've been a Jeff Berlin fan for many years, but I started wondering if there are any other bass players out there who play very close to his style? Best I can think of is Jaco: and that's a stretch.

Any ideas?

Try listening to some of Stanley Clarke's electric bass stuff. Again not close but similar.

I'm not a huge fan of hers, but you might want to check out Tal Wilkenfeld

Oh noooo! I'm a big fan! I think she's fantastic, and sexy hot to boot.

Thanks for your feedback. I've already heard almost all of Clarke's music. He's insanely good, but nothing like Berlin.

TBH, I think she plays too many notes, there's not enough space in her solos for me.

I'm a bigger fan of Amanda Ruzza, another up and coming bass player than Tal. I'd recommend her as well. And if you wanted to just check out "solo" bass players, there's always Stu Hamm.

(On the subject of female bass players I'm not a huge fan of Esperanza Spaulding either, but that's a story for another day...)

Even after she was crushed by a falling amplifier head?

The classical "Oh, a girl doing something that is more often done by boys! Of course she's hot"-syndrome

Honestly, I think she looks constipated some times.

Now, hate away!

Edit: also: slightly horse-face
(God damn edit-turns-into-doble-post bug)

Is she a horse or constipated?

Or are all horses constipated?

Evidently, you've never spent much time around horses. Believe me, they are most certainly NOT constipated! They cut loose more than an overfed dog!

Fair enough to all those who don't think Tal is a hot, sexy looking bassist, I only say just go to Google, type in her name and enjoy! She's gorgeous. Certainly not a horse....I think some people might be a bit jealous.....

Yeah, and not only they cut loose frequently, they crap everywhere, anytime, doesn't matter what the hell they're doing. Kinda curious how would it be like to shit while walking...

Tal is hot, don't be cyniclal; you'd be lucky to hit that.

On the subject of Jeff Berlin, he's a cool player but ignore all of his verbal diarhea. Metronomes are awesome and you'd have to be a self important pillock to think that you can disagree with that.

He has a signature Dean and he's also alive. Let that sink in.

I used to ride! But not for a while. I now live in London, and whenever I see horses I get very confused as to how they got into a city.

But that's a story for another time.

The horses were always there. The English just built the city around them.

Tal Wilkenfield is certainly not hot, from what I can tell. Rhonda Smith on the other hand...

I don't really have anything else to contribute to this thread, I don't much care for Jeff Berlin.

But yeah, Rhonda Smith...
