Tonight is bowling league night, also known as drinking night. I may not win at bowling, I assure you I am going to be victorious at drinking.

I can manage to roll a gutter ball with the bumpers up. Seriously. I suck hard at bowling.

Ouch

I will avoid stepping in to a bowling alley ever again if I can to be honest, having spent 2 days solid working in one I can safely say that if I never hear the sounds of one of those places again it will be too damn soon.

Therefore I assume I also suck

I haven't, to be honest I don't know many musicians who are really in to the whole "jamming" thing anyway; I know way too many metal musicians and generally we're not very good at just jamming, sad to say.

I also don't drink very much at home either, haha, it's too cheap and tends to end badly

I play metal and completely agree, it's kind of hard to just jam when it comes to playing metal. Unless you have a guy who just wants to shred over what ever riffs the other guy plays. Usually if I am just jamming it's more like a blues/rock jam. I play once a week with another guitarist and we play metal, but we rarely if ever just jam. We mainly just work on things we're writing.

Just noticed your band link in your sig. I'm going to check it out now.

Shit... well I don't run the facebook page... well there's a couple of tracks up here: http://www.youtube.com/user/itsTempleofSound along with a bunch of other stuff my vocalist does

We should have an album coming out within the year with any luck though, we only need to finish doing the vocals and one more track and it'll be recorded!

Haha this so many times, and I really want to jam with people too!

I've barely played when drunk, it's quite fun though. I've played many a time when stoned and it's fun (but harder), however any actual productive practice time will not happen because your muscles are just too relaxed and tired (in my experience) to play at your full potential.

Interesting stuff, pretty original sound you guys have. Kind of ambient power metal and I love me some power metal. That's mainly what I play. I'm writing some songs with another guitarist so eventually I'll have some stuff up online.

Huh, never really heard the power metal side of it... very strange since none of us really listen to power metal much apart from me and I don't really write any of it Generally we're going for a more proggy vibe, kind of a Devin Townsend type thing. Whatever though, glad you like it, keep an eye out for the album later in the year

Mainly the slower epicness of it that reminds me of power metal. Perhaps that was a bad description, but it's cool none the less.

Yeah, as long as you like it I really don't care what it ends up getting called

I'm horrible at defining genres, everything resembling metal is just metal to me.
