Getting into blues/funk music

I come from a punk rock & ska background and I'm really diggin' funk and blues lately, I play both guitar and bass. Name me bands/artists that you enjoy in these respective genres, I might even enjoy them myself I need some funky rhythm chords/licks & groovy, funky bass lines. All suggestions are welcome

Check out Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove, Robert Glasper's black radio, David Sanborn's funky stuff, Mike Stern and much more to come. They will keep you busy for a couple of years
